Quick answers

Do I need training to operate a boom lift?
Yes. Ontario requires elevating work platform training for anyone operating one, and in a boom you are also clipped into a harness. Contractors usually have both on file. If you do not, say so when you book and we will point you at the training and rent you the harness before delivery day.
How high can an articulating boom lift reach?
The residential workhorses in the fleet are the 30 and 45 ft class articulating booms, which put your hands well above any two-storey roofline. The 60 ft machines cover three-storey and low commercial work, and the straight booms run up to 125 ft for anything taller.
Can a boom lift work on a sloped driveway or a soft lawn?
Moderate slope is fine on a rough terrain boom with the outriggers set, and 4WD handles a gravel or grass approach. Soft ground after fall rain is the thing to flag: tell us what is under the wheels when you book and we will send the right machine, or recommend ground protection so the lawn is still a lawn when you are done.
