Leroy-Somer alternators feature AREP – an extra set of windings that provide greater motor starting capability. This means that a larger motor can be started with a smaller generator that operates more efficiently than a traditional shunt generator. Additionally, Leroy-Somer’s alternators use Class-H insulation to protect it from moisture and dust.
